Robert "Bob" Taverna (1953 - 2025)

Robert Taverna, known affectionately to family and friends as Bob, age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Evergreen Hospice in Albany, Oregon. Bob was a devoted husband to Donna, a loving father and stepfather, and a cherished friend to many.

Life Story

Bob was born on May 4, 1953, in San Francisco, California, to the late Joseph and Doris Taverna. He was a proud graduate of Montana State University.

Bob had a fulfilling and accomplished career as an Architect, beginning at CH2M Hill and continuing later at Jacobs Solutions.

He married the love of his life, Donna Taverna, on August 9, 2003.

Bob will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor, always ready with a witty remark and a laugh, and for being the proud owner of his beloved pooch, Sophie. He possessed a true love of camping and adventure, forever chasing the next perfect campsite in the wilderness.

Family

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Taverna; his daughter, Maria Taverna; his stepchildren, Lisa Malo and Casey Vaughan; and his cherished grandchildren: Parker and Jovi Malo and Leila Vaughan. He is also survived by his sister, Roseann Jamison, and his brother, Richard Taverna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris Taverna.

Services

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 11:00 am at McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis, Oregon. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at the McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis, Oregon.
