Robert "Bob" Louis Taylor, 74, of Hollister and formerly Ozark passed away on Sunday morning, May 8, 2022, peacefully at his home.
Bob was born on April 15, 1948, in Springfield, MO; the son of Emerson Earl and Mary Jeanette (Funke) Taylor. On May 22, 1970, Bob married Jennifer "Jenner" Stockton and celebrated nearly 52 years of marriage before Bob was called Home.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Emerson Taylor and Jeanette (Funke) Buchanan, as well as his eldest brother, Jim Taylor, of Highlandville, MO.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jennifer, of Hollister; daughter Angela (David) Bertoni of Maine, daughter Amanda (Jason) Clark of Ozark, and daughter Kelly (Erik) Johnson of Texas; brother Bill Taylor of Waynesville. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Courtney, Landon, Sam, and Rebecca as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Those who knew Bob knew him as a friend to all. He traveled the country driving for Kraft Foods for 29 years making friends and fishing buddies that he kept listed on a yellow sheet of paper in his wallet. He knew every worthy truck stop from here to anywhere and was a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy and cherry pie. He was a gentle, happy, loving man who loved fishing almost as much as he loved his girls. Bob was known to his girls' friends as the dad who would fix their cars with a side of free advice. His charming smile and ready laugh made you feel warm and welcome. We know he is still following every game the Cardinals will play, but now with his fellow Cards-loving fan by his side, his mom, "Granny Nette". Bob had a strong love and belief in Jesus and trusted Him to bring him Home.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the staff of Seasons Hospice, who cared for Bob and our family as though they were indeed family members.
A Memorial Service will be held for Bob at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark. Friends & relatives are invited to a Visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, from 9:30-10:30 A.M.
