Robert Winston Taylor of
Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Saturday, October, 5th 2024 while surrounded by those that love him. Robert passed at the age of 63. He was born on April, 4th 1961 to Nathlyn Nadine (Fritsche) Taylor and Kenneth Winston Taylor.
Robert was survived by his children, Laci Seay and Husband Robbie Seay Jr.; his son Caleb Taylor; his daughter Jessalyn Taylor; his daughter Amanda Hatfield; and his daughter Amber Hoisington. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren Kendale Seay and her partner Jakob Adams, Mason Seay, Tucker Seay, Elijah Seay, Sawyer Seay, Demitri Peterson, Maxwell Taylor, Aislynn Hatfield, Sterling Hoisington, Tydiss Sargent, Evelyn Cassidy and two grandpups Stella and Dolly. He leaves behind his siblings, Brian Taylor and his wife Starlett; Michelle Davis and her husband Shawn; Michael Taylor and his wife Theresa; Susan Thompson, as well as countless nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Nathlyn and Kenneth Taylor; his brother Mark Taylor; his life companion Theresa Mathis.
He was born and raised in Houston, Texas and moved to Conroe with his family when he was in junior high school 1976, and that's where he lived the remainder of his life. Robert was born with a hammer in his hand, a true carpenter, he worked for his uncle Carl Wernecke up until he retired in the late 1980's. Robert then decided to get his CDL and became on over the road driver after a few changes of companies he finally settled into driving for Kroger until health issues occured and he retired.
Robert met his first wife Brenda Hickman in July of 1983 and married 7 months later on February 14th 1984. They stayed married for 15 years and had three children Laci, Caleb, and Jessalyn. Although they separated, they always remained friends. Robert met his late life companion Theresa Mathis in 1998, although they didn't have children together Theresa had two girls Amanda and Amber whom Robert loved as his own.
Robert was a tinkerer of all sorts, he loved working on cars as he was a self taught mechanic, he loved building model cars alongside his son Caleb, gardening, listening to the oldies, and watching westerns. Robert had a gentle soul and loved hard. He was always telling stories and ready to educate you about things from "back in his day".
Roberts funeral will be held at McNutt Funeral Home on October 16th, 2024, his viewing will be at 1pm and service at 2pm followed by a Repast at Whispering Pines Church at 3:30pm.
Robert will be greatly missed by all that knew him & he will live forever in our hearts!
