Wayne was born on July 4, 1955, in Ashe County to the late Robert and Freda Anderson Taylor. He was a member of Apple Grove Baptist Church. Wayne had a love for music and enjoyed playing his guitar, as well as spending time playing chess. He especially treasured relaxing with his family while watching classic black-and-white television shows. Wayne was married to his beloved wife for 45 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kitty Blevins Taylor; one son, Brandon Taylor of Crumpler; one sister, Annette McNeill of Charlotte; two brothers, Ronnie Taylor of Kent, Washington, and Richard Taylor of West Jefferson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Boone Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 786, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
