BENSON- Robert William Tenzer Sr., 85 a resident of Benson died Tuesday January 20, 2026 at his residence following a long illness.
He was born on June 14, 1940 in Benson the son of William Joseph and Agnes (Crowningshield) Tenzer.
He grew up on the family farm and attended the Fair Haven High School.
Robert married Sally Lou Twyne on June 13, 1964 in Dorset.
He was employed by Bonvouloir Farm in Orwell for over 20 years then by Gagnon Lumber in Pittsford for several years until his retirement.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the birds, snowmobiling with friends and animals.
Survivors include his wife Sally Tenzer, a daughter Carey Boyea both of Benson, a son Glen Tenzer of Orwell, 8 grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son Robert William Tenzer Jr on January 26, 2014 and a son-in-law Joe Boyea on July 3, 2017.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday February 1, 2026 from 2pm until 4pm at the home of Carey Boyea 3151 Young Road, Benson.
Arrangements are by the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main Street, Fair Haven, VT
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
