Robert "Bob" W. Tiede, 88, passed away in his home in Stone Lake, WI, Monday morning, December 22, 2025.
Bob was born April 28th, 1937, in Rochester, MN to Kenneth and Olive Tiede. He was raised in Rochester, graduated from Rochester High School, and went on to graduate from Dunwoody College of Technology with a degree in Auto Electric Propulsion. He married Delores Ratsch on April 26th, 1957. Father to Charles, Craig, Wendy, and Julie.
Bob worked for IBM for 30 years. After retirement, he sold his small farm north of Rochester, and moved to his dream lake home in Stone Lake, WI. He then went back to school and became an electrician. With his friendly personality, knowledge and desire to help others, he has made a multitude of friends. He enjoyed visiting with everyone, hosting football games, fish fries, and popcorn. Bob has always been an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many trips in pursuit of his pleasures.
Bob is survived by: Daughter Wendy Sattre, Hayward, WI; Brother Ronald Tiede; Grandchildren Andy, Elijah, Jessica, Danielle; Great-Granddaughter Raveena. Bob is preceded in death by: Wife Delores; Children Chuck, Craig and Julie; Parents, and identical twin brother, Richard.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home (5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, and burial will be in the Oronoco Cemetery.
