Robert William Tkatch

I am heartbroken to announce the death of my father Robert Tkatch. He was 63 years old, and passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family and close friends after a long battle with Cancer. Dad grew up in Sayreville NJ, graduating Sayreville High School, Class of 1978 and attended the University of Maryland, Class of 1988, where he majored in Chemical Engineering. He worked his entire adult life as a Chemical Engineer, and was working for Phillips 66 in Ponca City Oklahoma at the time of his death.
Dad was a beautiful soul who loved his family. He was full of knowledge, driven and passionate with everything he did. He was talented, creative, inventive and hard working. His witty and sarcastic humor was a perfect balance to his intellectual and more serious demeanor. He loved football and dedicated many years of his life to coaching and further spreading his joy. He was a great dancer, loved to build things and could always be found tinkering away in his shop.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Christine Tkatch: son, Thomas Tkatch: Thomas' wife Brooke; his 9 grandchildren, sister Maureen, brothers Brian and Mike, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dad was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Joan Tkatch as well as his brother Joe Tkatch. Dad requested no funeral, but a small memorial service to be with his closest family at a to be determined date.
