Robert Kridler Tullis III, age 75, entered eternal rest on the morning of Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He had been a former patient at St. Mary's Hospital in
Amsterdam, NY. Born April 14, 1950 in Berwyn, Illinois, his late parents were Robert Kridler Tullis, Jr. And Catherine (Guidice) Tullis. He was followed by siblings William and Sandra, both surviving, and predeceased by siblings Susan, Steven and Diane. Educated in Chicagoland Elementary and High Schools, he went on to receive two Bachelor of Science degrees, the first in Physics from Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois, the second from the New School For Social Research in New York City, NY for Human Resource Management. From 1973 to 1982, Robert was proudest of his service in the United States Navy. Among his many duties was his service aboard the USS Flying Fish SSN-673 nuclear submarine. It was at a surfacing mission to the North Pole where upon the ice, he met and received his medals during a ceremony from none other than Santa Claus himself. Pictures exist to prove the fact. A man of varied talents and capabilities, he strove to always be of service to the public. His major employments included Commonweath Edison, Illinois American Water, The Burlington Northern Railroad, and the Chicago Metro Transit System. Serving as Water Commissioner for the Village of Diamond, Illinois, he earned Class A licenses with the Illinois EPA and went on to own and operate DWS – Diamond Water Services, servicing both the village's water and sewage treatment facilities. He enjoyed retail pursuits with Sears, Roebuck & Company, Osco Drug, and Walgreens as Assistant Manager and Pharmacy Technician. Ever civic minded, Robert enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors of the Grundy County Chapter of the American Red Cross in Morris, Illinois. In addition, he was a certified First Aide, CPR, and Emergency Response Instructor. He was a lifeguard and swimming instructor with both the Decatur and Naperville, Illinois YMCA's. Beginning in 1983, Robert served as acting Den Father and Cub Master with the Coal City, Illinois division of the Boy Scouts of America. He was ever present as chaperone and treasurer of the Coal City School Music Boosters. On March 21, 1970 he wed Cynthia Marie Kirkpatrick in Minnesota. In addition to Cynthia, he is survived by his three children from that union; Rhendy, Robert IV, and Randall, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. On January 28, 1984 Robert married Felicia Anne Schedlbauer in Morris, Illinois and became Father and Dad to his beloved daughter Leslie Anne Allen. In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by son in law Jack Steven Allen and grandchildren Keely and Corey Allen and Abbigayle Rowton. Additional immediate family members include his brother and sister in law Keith and Geraldine Schedlbauer, niece and nephew Andrea and Larry Fort and their son Gavin. A resident of the Village of Hagaman, NY since 2016, much appreciated memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the Village of Hagaman Fire Department. Without fail, with urgency and efficiency, the department responded to every call in Robert's time of need. Visitation will be from 2-3 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. A service in the chapel will follow at 3 PM. Services have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Bellinger, & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue,
