Robert "Rob" Turley

Robert S. Turley, age 49 of Lebanon TN, passed away on July 22, 2022. The Memorial Service, conducted by Jason Payne and Tim Ground, is 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 202 2 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Visitation is at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the service at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
He was born in Frankfurt Germany to Theresa C. Smith and William Dale Turley. He spent his childhood years in the Russellville and Auburn KY area. He married Ellen M. Adams and they spent 29 happy and loving years together. They lived in Nashville before enjoying 15 years in their first home in Old Hickory TN. After moving to Lebanon in 2016, they were blessed in 2017 with their miracle, Ethan Robert.
He loved being with his family, especially his best buddy, his son Ethan. He was enthusiastic about NASA space exploration and so excited about the new James Webb Telescope and all that we would discover through it. Although not a musician himself, he had an eclectic love of music. Rob took great pride in custom stonework, both as his job and as a means of support for his family. He loved the hands-on aspect as well as the creativity of stonework fabrication. He worked for Jones Stone/Alley-Cassetty Company for the last 20 years.
He is survived by his son Ethan Robert Turley; wife: Ellen Adams Turley; father: Dale (Kathy) Turley; mother: Theresa Gulley; grandmother: Josephine Smith; siblings: Erik (Eva) Knight, Joseph (Eui-Hwi) Knight, and Billy (Carrie) Turley; 8 beloved nephews and one precious niece; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, both by blood and by marriage; along with close friends; and in-laws: Patricia (John) Horgan, Stephen (Melody) Adams, grandfather-in-law Gerald C. Adams, Jennifer (Stevie) Luper and Maegan Adams. He is preceded in death by grandparents Peggy and William Turley, maternal grandmother Evelyn Stackhouse, maternal grandfathers W.L.
