Robert B. Tylock, 94 years old, of Irondequoit, NY, passed away at home on Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born in the Village of Villanova, NY on October 3, 1926, the son of the late Benjamin and Ethel (Burgun) Tylock.
In addition to his loving wife of 71 years, Helen (Lohler) Tylock, he is survived by his 6 children, Sandra (Richard) McAndrew of Sunrise Beach, MO; Janine (David) Rowe of Hopewell, NY; William Tylock of Rochester, NY; James (Cindy) Tylock of Natick, MA; Annette (Bruce) Schwind of Rochester, NY; Steven (Lorie) Tylock of Penfield, NY; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Randall of Phoenix, AZ, and Diane Dennison of Fredonia, NY. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Walter Tylock and Kenneth Tylock, and 2 sisters, Joyce Austin and Marie Heeder.
Robert retired in 1983 after a 30-year career with the New York State Department of Transportation, and continued to utilize his skills as an engineer in countless projects at home and at his family cottage on the St. Lawrence River, where he also enjoyed fishing, golf, and boating.
To honor his wishes, no funeral services were held. For those who would like to do so, please consider making donations to a charity of your choice.
