Christopher Tylock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. - Rochester on May 8, 2025.
Rochester, NY: May 1, 2025. Age 30. Predeceased by his brother Eric W. Tylock. Survived by his parents Steven M. and Lorie J. Tylock; siblings Kevin (Brie), Rachael (Sadegh), and Melissa Tylock; nieces Delara and Zoey; grandmother Helen Tylock; aunts Sandy (Richard), Janine (Dave), and Annette (Bruce); uncles Bill, Jim (Cindy), and Matt; great-uncle Clark (Sherry); great-aunts Margaret (Tom) and Anne (Paul d.2022); great-great aunt Jo (Bob d.2014); and so many loving cousins.
Christopher was exceptionally observant. He always took notice of what happened around him and could easily recall details. Need to know about what you just missed? Ask Chris. Forgot what happened earlier in a show? Ask Chris. He could even recite the many characters and plot lines from books, stories, and games he knew just from memory.
Christopher enjoyed a number of activities. He was eager to participate at whatever level or role he found himself in. Chris was quite happy as an observer or backseat co-pilot while you played some adventure game – he wanted to be helpful and supportive without infringing on your control.
Academically, Christopher was an AP Scholar with Distinction at Penfield High School and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from SUNY Oswego.
If his family were to take on gaming roles, like those seen in an adventuring party, Chris might have always been the necessary-but-overlooked support role. He was happy to fit in as needed, where needed, however needed – and he never expected recognition. His family is now feeling his absence and dearly missing his support.
We love you critter bug. We will take your final thoughts to heart and will work to get through this with each other.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 9th from 3-5 PM at Miller of Rochester (3325 Winton Road So. Rochester, NY 14623)
