Robert Allen "Bob" Uhlenberg

Robert Allen Uhlenberg of Tomball, Texas passed away Wednesday August 13th 2025 in Crystal Beach, Texas, 9 days shy of turning 76 on August 29th. Bob was enjoying a great retirement hanging out at the beach.

Bob was born to Ann Novak and Joseph A Uhlenberg in Chicago Illinois. After high school graduation from Saint Rita High School, he attended the University of Illinois where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. It was the beginning of the computer age, and he very quickly became programmer. He was a programmer for American National Bank. After twelve years as a bank officer, he started his own independent consulting firm which he pursued until 1996 when as a consultant at Compac Computers he was offered a permanent job which he accepted. Soon Compac became Hewlett Packard where he worked until 2010.

Upon retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, cooking, and just cruising the beach. Bob was married to Joan Kulovitz Uhlenberg for 34 years. Eight years after her death he married Margaret Dupree Fowler.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Uhlenberg. Her daughter Mystal Lato and her husband Ben Lato as well as grandchildren, Logan Lato and Ivy Lato. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Uhlenberg. He is also going to be missed by his three puppies: Sophie, OB, and Dollie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at Bay Vue Methodist Church, 1411 Hwy 87, Crystal Beach, Texas. A reception will follow at the church.
