Robert Oliver Ulen was born on December 7, 1934, in Rochester, MN, the son of Peter and Olga Ulen. He was baptized and confirmed in Decorah, IA. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years. Throughout his life, Bob worked repairing and selling sewing machines and bicycles, a craft he was very good at.
Bob met Judy Brandt and the two spent 49 wonderful years together. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and riding motorcycles.
Bob is survived by his significant other Judy; two sons: Scott Ulen and Neal Ulen, both of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son Brian Ulen.
