Robert Uzelac Obituary
Robert married the love of his life, Diane (Donatelli) Uzelac on November 11, 1962, in Penn Hills, PA; she survives. For over sixty-two years, the couple enjoyed a long and happy marriage blessed with love and companionship.
Robert initially worked as a coal miner and performed emergency rescues for miners, successfully saving several of his fellow workers. Following this, he devoted a considerable amount of time working as a truck driver in the US Steel industry, before transitioning to the auction business where he assisted with items being sold at auction prior to his retirement.
Throughout his lifetime, Robert pursued a variety of hobbies which encompassed fishing in Canada, hunting in Pennsylvania alongside Diane, dog training, and horseback riding with his daughter. He was a man guided by strong principles and had a passion for debating politics, often preferring to do things his own way. He was an avid supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robert enjoyed yard sales, auctions of all kinds, and negotiating deals along the way. Over the years, he cherished the many adventures he shared with his grandchildren, whom he lovingly raised. Robert will be missed by those who loved him.
In addition to his wife Diane, Robert is survived by three grandchildren; Jessica Kalkhof of Sigel, PA, Clairice Conley of Bellevue, PA, and Katherine Gemmell of CA; as well as other relatives, including Jessica, Josi, Teddy and Toby Hubbell of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by one daughter; Tracie Kalkhof; and one brother; Fred Uzelac Jr.
All services are private and have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
