Robert Vasquez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - North on Oct. 1, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Vasquez, Jr., a cherished soul who left us on September 17, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, on December 21, 1970, to his treasured parents, Mercedes and Roberto Vasquez, Robert spent his life steeped in the rich culture of his beloved hometown.
A man of immense kindness and creativity, Robert's early life was infused with the discipline and ethics instilled in him at St. Cecilia Catholic School. His intellectual and social journey continued at Highlands High School, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and a love for the arts. His remarkable ability to encapsulate the joy and pain of the human experience in his drawings was admired by all who knew him.
Robert's passion for nostalgia was legendary. His impressive collection of memorabilia, spanning the golden eras of television, film, and comics, was a vivid tapestry of the past that he adored to share with others. Amongst these treasures, he found solace and joy.
As a fervent rock music enthusiast, Robert's energy was most palpable when surrounded by the pulsating rhythms of his favorite bands. His love for music was eclipsed only by the love he had for his family and friends. His presence was a source of warmth and comfort, making every gathering a memorable event. It was in these moments, surrounded by laughter and joy, that Robert truly shone.
Left to honor his memory are his loving father, Roberto Vasquez, and younger brother, Alex Vasquez, along with countless extended family members and friends who miss him dearly. Though his mother, Mercedes Vasquez, precedes him in passing, the legacy of compassion and love they both shared continues to inspire all who were touched by their grace.
Robert Vasquez, Jr. was a beacon of love and creativity whose impact on the world was as profound as it was gentle. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, dear Robert; your memory and love will be eternal.
