Mr. Robert Daniel Vaughn, age 44, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.

Robert was born on January 7, 1979 in Biloxi, MS. He was attended George County High School. He completed The Mission of Hope from December 30, 2022 to March 31, 2023 where God touched his life. He was an excellent carpenter. He could build just about anything. He had his own fencing company, built houses, worked as a roofer, was a trade welder and worked with a tree service.

He loved fishing and hunting more than anything. He was holding a fishing pole before he could walk and could catch a frog quickly. He had the most beautiful deer head mounts. He loved playing cornhole with his brother and friends. He won many tournaments, fishing and cornhole!

He loved to cook, have company over and eat some good seafood. He had friends everywhere and lit up every room with his charisma and great personality. He will be remembered for being a beautiful person, inside and out.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Vaughn; and by his nephew, “Little Man”.

Left to cherish his memory include his loving mother, Shelia Parker Smith of Benndale, MS; stepfather, Danny Lee Smith of Benndale, MS; sisters, Winnie Dee Vaughn of Vancleave, MS and Lori Lachelle Vaughn of Vancleave, MS; brothers, Logan Scott Smith (Megan) of Benndale, MS and Eric Taconi of Ocean Springs, MS; 6 nieces; 12 nephews; 3 great nieces; and by his beloved bulldogs, who he always had one by his side.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Jim Ramsey Road in Vancleave at 1:00 p.m. Friends are invited to visit from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family where Robert will be laid to rest.

We love you “Big As The Sky”!
