Robert Gary Vine

Vine, Robert, age 82 of Blaine, passed away peacefully April 16, 2024. He was born in Decorah, Iowa on January 13, 1942 to Theodore and Myrtle (Sharp) Vine. He was a graduate of Minnesota State Academy of the Deaf (formerly known as MSD.) On August 14, 1965, he married Ruby Vinje in Willmar, Minnesota. Robert was active in Minnesota Association of Deaf Citizens, Minnesota Deaf Senior Citizens, Deaf Seniors of America, and National Association of the Deaf. In addition Robert was a hospice volunteer and a member of Bread of Life Deaf Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Robert was a welder with Onan Corporation for 35 years. He loved traveling with his wife Ruby, gardening, fishing, cars and spending time with friends.  
Preceded in death by infant daughter Peggy; loving wife of 56 years Ruby; parents, Theodore and Myrtle Vine; sister Marilyn (Durwin); brothers, Harlan (JoAnn), Carleton (Mavis), and Darrell; sister-in-law, Donna; mother and father-in-law Clarence and Alpha Vinje; brother-in-law Marvin (Liz); sister-in-law, Janet. Survived by brothers Eldon (Kathy) and Alvin; sister-in-law, Vivian; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. 
Memorials preferred to J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice. Private service at a later date.
