Robert Lewis Wallace, born on July 22, 1957, in Oxford, North Carolina, passed away on February 11, 2026, in the very community where he spent his life. A dedicated worker and a man of great integrity, Robert worked for 27 years of service as a Cleanup Leadman at Certainteed, where he was recognized for his many accomplishments with multiple awards throughout his tenure. He was known for his love of vehicles, which often highlighted his passion and personality. Friends and colleagues from Certainteed remember him fondly for his professionalism and dedication.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas "Tommy" Wallace; his nieces, Lisa, Susan, and Mary Lynn; and many great nieces and nephews, as well as an extended family too numerous to name. Robert's legacy also extends to his friendships cultivated over the years at Certainteed, where he forged bonds that meant a great deal to him.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Wallace, Jr.; his mother, Mary Belle Cox Wallace; his sister, Mary Ann Wallace Worley; and his nephew, Michael Wayne Jones.
