Robert "Bob" D. Washa, age 76, of Prentice, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI. Bob was born on November 16, 1949, in Phillips, WI, to the late Bohumil and Lulu (McKibben) Washa.

Bob was a graduate of Phillips High School, class of 1967. Following high school, he spent time driving a milk truck before beginning a long career working alongside his father at a local factory. Bob remained dedicated to his work for many years until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic, he truly loved staying busy. Bob had a lifelong passion for stock car racing and was a familiar face at tracks throughout the area, including Tomahawk, Rice Lake, and Ashland. He proudly served as a flagman at the Abbotsford track as well as in Phillips, where his father assisted in building the racetrack. Above all else, Bob loved spending time with his sons.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Washa; his sons, Bohumil "Bo" Washa (Keri), Luke Washa (Jen), and Mitchell Washa; and his sisters, Arlene and Irene. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Dominic and Trinity. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bohumil and Lulu; his son, Kyle; and his siblings, Arthur, Richard, Clara, Betty, and May.
