Robert C. Watt, Sr., 73, longtime resident of Brookline, NH, died at the Elms Center in Milford, NH on November 16, 2024, after a period of declining health.
He was born on October 25,1951 in Boston, MA, a son of the late John F. and Madeleine (Pease) Watt.
Robert was raised and educated in Lexington, MA and graduated from Bentley College Waltham with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
He worked for many years at Boston (Leader) Federal Savings Bank in Lexington, MA, as well as other financial institutions. He also worked at Larchmont Labs in Lexington and Woodford of Ayer in Ayer, MA.
Robert met and married Janice M. Phalon and have made their home Brookline, NH since 1993.
He enjoyed playing bluegrass mandolin and guitar, photographing old barns and pastoral scenes, developing his own color photos, and tinkering with his beloved DeSoto. He was often astride his Harley or Triumph motorcycles. He loved spending summers at his family camp on Newfound Lake, and spending time with good friends in the famous and infamous Pepperell Lite Company. For many years he attended and staffed the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival.
Survivors and loved ones include his wife Janice Watt of Brookline, NH, his son Robert C. Watt, Jr. and partner Allison Sica of Wilton, NH, dear caregiver and friend Heather Johnson and husband Chip of Temple, NH, the John Watt Family of Lexington, MA, and many treasured in-laws, nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Smith and Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 9:30 AM in the Smith and Heald Chapel, Milford. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline, NH.
