It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Wildonger Sr., affectionately known to friends and family as Bob or Willie. He was born on July 29, 1947, in Abington, Pennsylvania, and departed this world on September 28, 2025, at the age of 78, in Cape Coral, Florida.

Bob was the beloved son of Charles and Enola (Fox) Wildonger. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 27 years, Monica Wildonger, and a loving father to his children: Jennifer Wildonger, Robert Wildonger Jr., and Jennifer Young Weiss (Dennis). He shared an exceptionally close bond with his son, Justin Carver, and embraced Erica and Danielle as daughters, showcasing his incredible capacity for love and family.

As a proud grandfather, Bob delighted in the lives of his grandchildren: Anthony (Julianna), Paul, Tristan, Damon, Roddy, and Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Pick, and his cherished niece and nephew, Victoria and Richard, who will remember him fondly.

Bob's journey through life was marked by hard work and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. He began his professional journey at just 16, working on a tomato farm, which ignited his passion for mechanics and cars. This passion led him to a remarkable 20-year career at BMW, where he not only honed his skills but also took great pride in mentoring countless young newcomers in the automotive industry. In 2011, Bob and his family relocated to Florida, where he continued his journey at Ace Hardware for another 13 years, furthering his legacy as a mentor and friend to those around him.

Outside of work, Bob was a jack of all trades; a mister fix it of all things who deeply enjoyed working on cars and sharing stories about his adventures in the automotive world. His life was rich with experiences that he freely shared with anyone who crossed his path, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer advice. Bob also had a deep love for animals, and all of the family pets were considered family and loved accordingly.

In honor of Bob's spirit and the love he had for his family, the Wildonger family will be sitting Shiva, welcoming visitors from 1 PM to 5 PM on Monday, September 29, and Tuesday, September 30. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 7 PM at the Chabad of Cape Coral. Memorial contributions can be made out directly to Bob's family.

Bob Wildonger Sr. was a remarkable man whose warmth, kindness, and wisdom touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, mentorship, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered for the joy he brought into the world.
