Robert Williams Tribute WALLINGFORD - Robert H. Williams, 83, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Harriet K. Blanchard, departed this life on Monday, February 16th at Mid-State Medical Center.
Bob was born on March 24, 1931 in New Haven, CT, son of the late Alphonse and Jeanne (Vertefeuille) Williams. He was a graduate Choate School class of 1949 and later obtained his Bachelors degree from Yale College and attended the Yale School of Architecture. Bob was a teacher and coach at Choate Rosemary Hall from 1953 - 1992.
He is survived by his wife Harriet of Wallingford, along with two daughters: Michele Gibson of GA, and Suzanne Williams and her husband David Lloyd of IL. Bob also leaves two granddaughters: Sarah and Emily Gibson, both of GA.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 PM at the Seymour St. John Chapel on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the following organizations: The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5041 or online at www.michaeljfox.org, Choate Rosemary Hall (in memory of Robert H. Williams), or the organization of your choice. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
