Robert Williams Obituary
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Nelle Williams; his daughter, Teresa King; his grandsons, Devin Fillingham and Sean Settle; his granddaughter, Meghan Vanatta; and his brothers and sisters, Walter "Cernol" Williams, Gloria Chambliss, and Katie Whittaker.
He leaves behind the luckiest family on earth: his sister, Lou Lavonne Whitley, and brother, Dennis Williams; his son, Tracy Williams, and daughter, Robin Delplane; his grandchildren, Kyla (Ryan) Chapman, Autumn (Alex) Young, Staci (James) Farrar, Stefani (Aaron) Pennington, Stephen Williams, and Santana Williams; and 14 great-grandchildren.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness"
(2 Timothy 4:7–8)
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 o'clock pm, Sunday, December 28th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Terry Whitley and Joe Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 27th from 1:00-5:00PM, and again on Sunday beginning at 12:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Robert's memory to Coopertown Church of Christ, 3618 Old Coopertown Road, Springfield, Tennessee 37172 or the charity of your choice.
