Robert E. Wilson of Irondequoit: Friday, August 20, 2021 at age 77. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Diane Rossi Wilson; children, Blair (Tricia) Wilson, Erica Wilson, Brian (Denise) Colon; Grandchildren, Zoe Wilson, Amanda Colon, Christian Colon, Evan Colon; Sister, Carole (the late Robert) Palmer; Niece, Susan (Allen) LeBeau and family; Nephew, David (Carolyn) Palmer and family; Sister-in-Law, Donna (Walter) Reis and family. He grew up in Greece, NY and made Irondequoit his home in 1975.
He is sadly missed by his constant companion and loving Jack Russell Darla.
Bob was a Xerox retiree, serving 32 years. He was also a retiree of Chase-Pitkin/Wegmans (Irondequoit), serving 21 years. He was a volunteer at St. Mary's Church Downtown as a eucharistic minister and greeter. Bob was also involved in Eastridge Marching Band and Musicals throughout his children's educational years.
Bob enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening, biking, fixing things, campfires, s'mores and spending endless time with Darla sitting on the front porch, giving her forbidden treats and walks/carrying her.
Bob will be missed and forever loved and cherished by his family and close friends.
"You are our beautiful soul, rest in peace".
Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial mass Saturday, January 8, 2022, 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church at 15 St. Mary's Place, Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, 300 E. River Road, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY, 14627 or to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 259 Rutgers Street, Rochester, NY, 14607, in memory of Bob Wilson.
