Robert P. Yareff, 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2026 due to Influenza A.
Robert was born in Akron on December 30, 1948 and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. Robert played drums for Live Wyre, as well as several other local bands. He worked at Sunoco Refinery until retirement. Robert enjoyed golfing. He loved his family and friends more than anything. He was a member for St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Krome and Angelina Yareff. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Massaro); son Joshua (Rachelle); granddaughter Caralina; brother Tom (Diana) Yareff; sister Pat (Don) Elkins; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Anthony Funeral Homes - Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00AM. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valor Home Summit County via https://fcsserves.org/program/valor-home-summit/
