Roberta Lee "Robi" Andersen

Roberta (Robi) Lee (Souza) Andersen passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 89. She grew up in San Leandro, California. She attended St Mary's Catholic School in San Leandro and went on to attend Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland. She was a member of the first graduating class at Bishop O'Dowd. Robi made many friends that became lifelong friends. She was a member of the Declamatory Team, Glee Club, and was a cheerleader in high school. Robi had a beautiful voice, and she won the music award for her graduating class.

She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Andersen and they married in 1956. They became parents in 1960 to twin daughters, Lesley and Stacy. Robi was a member of the Junior Women's Club for several years, which gave her a busy social calendar and many more friends. Robi was overjoyed to become Nana to Lauren, Jason, Jessica, and Melissa. She had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren that made her so happy.

Robi worked as an equipment specialist for Avard Garth and enjoyed it tremendously. Robi and Bob travelled all over the world and the United States usually with their travel buddies. She also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Arnold, Ca.

After 65 years of marriage, she lost the love of her life. Robi moved to assisted living in Brentwood, Ca. Her bright smile and positivity drew many new friends there. She remained close to her lifelong friends as well.

Robi made an impact on all who met her. She will be greatly missed. There is comfort in knowing she is with her love, Bob.
