John Andersen Obituary

John Andersen

July 22, 1940 - March 11, 2026

John Franklyn Andersen, 85, of Fulton, passed away on March 11, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

John was born on July 22, 1940, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Allen and Helen Andersen, he passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, friendship, and a deep love for the outdoors.

A graduate of Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin, John began his career in southern Wisconsin. One of his most treasured roles was serving as a fireman for the City of Brookfield. In his early thirties, he found his true home in Phillips, Wisconsin, a place he affectionately called "God's Country." It was there that he fully embraced all the outdoors had to offer, spending his time hunting, fishing, and playing horseshoes.

John's career in Phillips included time at the local hardboard plant and Marquip. Then he started his own business, "Handy Andy Services" and enjoyed that until he retired. He cherished the opportunity to interact with people and use his handy work to make a difference in their lives. Later in life, John and his wife, Tina, moved to Fulton, Missouri, where his warm nature once again allowed him to build a community of cherished friends.

John's greatest love was his family. He married the love of his life, Tina, on December 19, 1990, who survives him at their home.

He is lovingly remembered by his stepdaughter, Pamela Heimericks (Scott); stepson, Scott Kindberg (Heather); and stepdaughter, Penny Huck. He was a proud grandfather to Alex, TJ, Johnny, Wesley, Brenden (Summer), Ridge Benjamin, Seth (Anna), Gabe, Jessica, and Grace, and numerous great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Helen Andersen; his son, Timothy Andersen; his stepson, Kevin Huck; his sister, Kris Schmidt; and his mother and father-in-law, Donald and Victoria Overland.

John will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, worked diligently, and never met a stranger. His memory will live on in the stories told by his many friends and family.

No services will be held at this time.
