Roberta Billotte of Kearney, Mo., died February 19, 2025, she was 90 years old. Her husband Stanley Billotte preceeds her in death August 8, 2023. Memorial services will be held for both on March 29, 2025 at the RLDS church in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Roberta was born to Elizabeth and Morris Marks on July 2, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana. Roberta graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, Va., in 1952. After high school she started working at the Pentagon in Washington DC as a stenographer and secretary for Air Force General Benjamin Davis. While working at the Pentagon she met and married James G. Moreau, they were married 20+ years.
Roberta met Stanley Billotte in 1977 and then married Stanley in December 1989 while living in Lansing, Kan. After the marriage they both relocated to Raleigh, N.C., where Stanley continued to work for IBM. They both retired shortly thereafter and relocated to Alpine, Texas, and then finally to Kearney, Mo.
Roberta worked for the federal civil service for many years holding positions at the Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth, Kans., for Federal Judge Arthur Stanley, United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the US Marshals office. She also worked at the Judge Advocates Office while they were stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
Roberta has five children and one step daughter, Deneen Baker (JC) in Kansas City, Mo., Bruce Moreau of Branson, Mo., Renee Cunningham (Scott) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Michael Moreau of Lansing, Kan. Roberta precedes in death of two children, James (Jay) Moreau of Alba, Texas, and Jackie Fields (Jay) of Scottsdale, Ariz. Roberta has nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Roberta was active in her church for many years, she especially enjoy creating the weekly bulletin. Roberta and her husband, Stanley, will be missed by so many people.
