Roberta “Bobbi” Carol (Connelly) Winberg, 82, of Logansport, passed away peacefully at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport, on Friday, January 9, 2026. Bobbi was born on June 7, 1943, in Logansport, to the late John Robert and Fern L (McCarty) Connelly. She married George Chris Winberg and raised a loving family.
Roberta attended Rockfield, Camden, and Delphi Schools, and was a 1961 graduate of Camden High School. She later went on to attend Indiana Business College. She also graduated from Patricia Steven College in Indianapolis. Roberta worked at Logansport State Hospital where she was an attendant and a QMA where she eventually retired after 30 years of service.
In her free time Roberta enjoyed traveling. She had the opportunity to visit all 7 continents where she made many memories with her friends and family. She loved taking sporadic trips to anywhere. She enjoyed working and tending to the family farm, and especially spending time with horses. She also enjoyed finding a good deal when she was shopping. Her most cherished time was spent with her children, and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving Roberta include her children; Chirstopher Robert (Nancy) Winberg, Patrick “Scott” Winberg, grandchildren; Christopher (Katie) Winberg, Colton (Danielle) Winberg, Chase Dallas, a great- grandchild; Chloe Winberg, and step-great-grandchild; Carter.
Roberta was preceded in death by a sister; Bonnie (Jeff) Shaffer.
A funeral service honoring the life of Bobbi will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 1 pm, with Pastor Bob Duke officiating, located at Shirey Funeral Home, 121 N Union St, Delphi. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions honoring the life of Roberta may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
