Roberta N. Duran, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, was born in Chicago, IL, on March 2, 1963, to Robert Duran and Benita Garcia. Growing up in Chicago, she lived in the Bridgeport area on the South Side, then in the Spaulding neighborhood near Farragut High School, and finally in Little Village, where she spent most of her life. Roberta attended Richard J. Daley College, where she studied to become a teacher's aide. Fluent in English, Spanish, and sign language, she was passionate about her work, always ready to help her students and her parents. Loved by many, Roberta enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs, watching WWE wrestling, and spending time with her children, Romello Duran (Ben) and Alejandra Duran (Nikki). She lived a full and meaningful life, cherishing her parents and passing away peacefully at home, surrounded by her dogs, at the age of 62. She left behind her two children and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
