Roberta (Bobbie) Foltz Fellows passed away Tuesday August 26, 2025 at peace with her family surrounding her. Bobbie was born June 25, 1931 in Sheridan Wyoming to Charles and Lena Foltz. Bobbie is the last surviving child of eleven. Bobbie graduated from the Lodge Grass High School in May 1948 and was married to Jim Fellows the following day, May 21, 1948. Roberta is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jim Fellows, sons James Walter, James Michael and son-in-law Ron Mosness. Roberta is survived by her 4 daughters, Linda Mosness, Sandy (Ron) Thomas, Susan (Bruce) Gottwig and Sally (Neal) Indreland as well as her daughter-in-law Jolynn Fellows. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren & spouses, 24 great-grandchildren & spouses and her sister-in-law Ginny Foltz.

Roberta & Jim lived in Ashland MT for 10 years and moved to Big Timber in 1960. They cared for foster children in addition to their own 5. Roberta loved her garden and flowers, spending many happy hours with her flowers. In 1975 she went to work as the Big Timber Grade School Secretary and retired in 2000. In 1984, Roberta was awarded the Montana Mother of the Year and traveled to the National Convention in New Orleans.

In 1987, Roberta started the Big Timber Hearts and Hands Hospice to honor her sister Billy Jean. This was a mission for her so no one else would have to die alone in a hospital bed if they wanted to go home. She and others created the Family Focus Room so terminal patients, their family and friends would have a place to gather in a home setting complete with bed, recliners, kitchen facilities and bathroom. That specific room is no longer there after the Hospice went under the umbrella of the PMC.

Roberta was an active member of her church, Homeland Circle, getting the Hospice Thrift Store started, Women's Club, the Dare Program, Foster program, Book Study, Kitchen Band and many others.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11:00am Friday September 5, 2025 at the First Congregational Church.

Memorials can be made to: Montana on a Mission (P.O. Box 696, BT 59011), The Congregational Church Homeland Circle, (P.O. Box 238, BT 59011) or the organization of your choice.
