Roberta Frasier
Charleston - Roberta Mae Frasier, 76, passed away peacefully at Addison of West Ashley on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Ms. Roberta was a native of Charleston and the daughter of the late Ernest W. Frasier and Estelle G. Frasier. She graduated from Burke High School, Class of 1967. Ms. Frasier earned a Bachelor of Art degree from Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama and a Maters of Art degree at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Ms. Roberta Frasier was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc for over 50 years. She served as AKA President of the Charleston Chapter and continued to be an active sister until her health declined. Ms. Frasier was an educator at Rivers Middle School, Alice Birney Middle School and retired as principal at Haut Gap Middle School, devoting over 30 years to Charleston School system. After retirement from the school system, Roberta continued to educate by volunteering at the South Carolina Aquarium. Ms. Roberta Frasier is a proud member of Mt. Zion AME Church since childhood. Some of her duties included Sunday School teacher, Usher and Superintendent of Sunday School.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Ernest Frasier, Jr, Tyrone F. Frasier, Larone F. Frasier, Robert E. Frasier, and sister Estelle L. Frasier-Bethea. Surviving family includes her nieces and nephews: Karon Holmes (Willmin), Shawnette Bethea-Hardiman (Anthony), Tracey Frasier-Muldoon (Kurk), Treasure Frasier-Magsi, LaDawn Frasier, Chanda Bethea, Ruthie Seabrook, Travis Frasier and Robert Frasier, Jr. and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, Ivory Beyond The Wall – 2:00 pm, and Homegoing Service will be 2:30pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mt Zion AME Church on 5 Glebe Street, Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Breast Cancer Awareness.
