June 7, 1934 - January 8, 2026
Roberta Blanche Heaton, 91 sadly passed away on January 8,2026 at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation center. Roberta was born in Greybull, Wyoming to Bert Elmer Snyder and Nina Louise (Mosley) Snyder. She attended early elementary school at Gould District Country School. Nina took her and Lee on horseback to school. She then went to school in Greybull. She was active in 4H with sewing, cooking and livestock. She went to 4H camp and State Fair.
She graduated from Greybull High School in 1952. She attended business school in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas as an administrative assistant "in the secret division" for 40 years.
She married Harvey Heaton June 25, 1955. They were almost married 50 years. They loved animals and had several fur babies. They had no children but were so loved by their nieces and nephews. She loved to travel sharing adventures with her siblings to Branson, Las Vegas, and California.
When she retired, they built a home on Beaver Lake in Garfield, Arkansas. After Harvey passed away in December 2002, Roberta became the Village Pet Nanny. She and friends walked dogs morning and night. She was involved in her community, as a Hydro aerobics instructor, volunteering at God's Pantry, helping with community dinners and Garfield Elementary school. She was a member of Hobbits (a local service organization) and participated in many Style Shows. She was an active member of Lost Bridge Community Church. Everyone mentions her delicious apple pie. She was an avid reader and loved to shop. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
In November 2022, when her health started to decline, she moved to Worland. She lived with her sister and brother-in law, Donna and John Harrington. After her fall in August 2025, she became a resident of Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation center.
Roberta was proceeded in death by her husband Harvey and parents, Bert and Nina Snyder, nephew Mike Snyder and great-niece Melissa Snyder.
She is survived by her brothers Lee Snyder of Greybull. Edwin (Lori) Snyder of Ramona, California and sister, Donna (John) Harrington of Worland. Nephews Mitch Snyder of Laramie, Mark Snyder of Boise, Idaho, Doug Snyder of Ramona, California, Jeff Harrington of Westminster, Colorado and Brian Harrington of Casper. Niece Tanya (Vince) Garside of Ramona, California. Great nephews and nieces Brandon, Misty Jo, Kassondra, Kyle, Kaylee, Leonard, Logan, Bentley, Jackson and Isabella. Great-great nieces and nephew Tyka, Jett and Korban.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 16 at 11am at the Worland United Methodist Church with Pastor Kayla Houck officiating. Internment will follow at Mount View Cemetery in Basin, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to the Worland Senior Center or the Worland United Methodist Church. Please send donations to P.O. Box 524 Worland, Wyoming 82401.
