Roberta Leeper Obituary
Roberta was born in Hunter, OK on June 18, 1932, to Earl and Zillah (Royce) Kelly and was received into Holy Baptism on Apr 25, 1943. She graduated from Enid High School in 1950 and was united in marriage to Bob Leeper on Jan 2, 1951. Roberta was a long-time resident of Norman and was active in many local business and community organizations. She operated Roberta's Cosmetics and Gifts on Gray Street for more than 50 years. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met, and she never met a stranger. People would come from long distances just to visit Roberta in her shop and receive her much coveted "Roberta hugs."
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Brad Leeper, and granddaughter Jennifer (Kukuk) Billups.
She leaves behind daughters Sharon Swisher (Greg), Deb Kukuk (Steve), five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.

I found a card today, I had sent to Roberta which was returned to me, in my drawer. I didn't know my Sweet Friend had passed away. I loved her dearly. I published a small book that she insisted on purchasing and keeping in her Gift Shop. She would give one to whomever she felt lead. No wonder I had her on my mind so much this summer. The picture is of Roberta and I, before my hair turned silver/gray. My condolences, prayers and love to Roberta's Family and Friends. God be with you all. Patricia

My heart is with all of Roberta's loved ones, which seems to me should be a great many people! She never knew a stranger and I came to know Roberta first as a customer and then I worked in her little shop one summer, helping her keep things tidy and answering the phone, etc. She has an absolutely unforgettable light and passion for people and good products! I have thought about her many times over the years and look forward to seeing her in heaven. Indeed, it is an incredible loss here on earth, may the Holy Spirit comfort you all.
