Terra Barber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Absolute Economical Funeral Home LLC from Jan. 19 to Jan. 20, 2026.
Terra Louise Gamble Barber, 45, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away with her family by her side on

January 18, 2026, at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She had been

battling lung complications since early 2025.

Terra was born on January 24, 1980 in Walsh, Colorado. She later moved to Guymon, Oklahoma and

attended Guymon Public Schools. In 2004, she eventually made her way to the big City where she met

the love of her life, AJ Barber. Together, they raised three children, Alyssa, Terry Joseph and Brayden in

the Mustang-Yukon area. Terra was an amazing Mother, who cherished every moment with her children

and her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her two sisters, Heather, Jinda and her little

brother, TJ. Terra loved to cook and to shop for bargains. Most importantly, she always thought of

others before herself.

During Terra's long enduring health conditions throughout the last 15 years of her life, her husband AJ

remained strong and provided love and support. He was always by her side during her many months in

and out of hospitals throughout their marriage. Terra was an inspiration to all who knew her. She could

make living in a wheelchair somehow exciting, always there to greet you at the door with a smile. Her

life had a way of engaging families and friends to pray, become closer to God.

She is preceded in death by her father, Terry Gamble; her grandparents, JB and Wilma Gamble, Albert

and Shirley Kuriyama.

Terra is survived by her husband, AJ; her three children, Alyssa Gamble of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,

Terry Joseph Garcia and Brayden Barber of Yukon, Oklahoma; mother, Cindy Kuriyama of Yukon,

Oklahoma; two sisters, Heather Sparkman (Stephen) of Mustang, Oklahoma, Jinda Oberst (Jace) of

Edmond, Oklahoma. She has one brother, TJ Gamble (Amanda) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as

many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Terra's family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to her family in order to help with any

unforeseeable costs. This would be much appreciated. gofundme

If our family could describe this amazing woman we lost in one word, it would be "Unforgettable".
