Sue was born in Johnston County, North Carolina on January 10, 1940 to the late Richard C. and Mamie Adams Colville.
Sue was predeceased by her husband, Max H. Barber and longtime friend, JT Stewart.
Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Wyndee B. Langdon and husband Andy of Siler City, NC; son, Max H. Barber Jr and wife Cynthia of Benson, NC; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a member of Coats Church of God where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Hollis Fedrick will be officiating. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Road, Smithfield, NC 27577 or Coats Church of God, 223 S. Isabella Street, Coats, NC 27521.
