Roberta L. Mayer

Roberta Lorraine Mayer (Saccente) 65, of Waldwick, NJ, passed away July 8,2023. Cherished wife of Chris, devoted mother of Christopher and Lacee, Michael, and beloved "Nanabert" of Christopher. A 35 year special education and elementary education teacher, Roberta spent her career teaching and helping the boys and girls of New Milford and her beloved community of Waldwick. Over the years Roberta was a former school PSO member, Waldwick High School Graduation Ball secretary, Cub Scout Pack 308 Den leader, St. Luke's CCD teacher, member of the Waldwick Italian American Social Club, and Waldwick's Women's Club. Roberta loved taking long walks, frequently visiting the Waldwick Library, planting her silk flowers, hosting family and friend parties and watching Hallmark movies. Roberta and Chris enjoyed taking road trips to historic sites and baseball stadiums around our country. When not at a baseball or soccer game, Roberta enjoyed days at the Jersey Shore with her beloved family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Roberta asks that you pay forward acts of kindness, and live each day to its fullest with joy.
