Roberta Shannon "Ruby" Mullaney

Roberta "Ruby" Shannon Mullaney, age 79, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, went to heaven on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, after a short illness. Ruby was born on July 30, 1945, in Sligo, Ireland, daughter to the late Robert Shannon and Margaret Mary McNiff Shannon.
Ruby is survived by the love of her life, Patrick Joseph Mullaney "Padraig" with whom she shared 62 years. She is also survived by her three children, Caroline C. Mullaney and Tara M. Morgan (Greg) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Patricia M. Meiselman (Lee) of Durham, CT. Along with her five grandchildren, granddaughter Shannon Meiselman and grandsons Ian Morgan, Shane Meiselman, Colin Kolodziej, and Quinn Kolodziej.
Ruby was the oldest of nine with three sisters; Mai Shannon Bradley, Irene Shannon Conlon, and Rosaleen Shannon McLaughlin (deceased), and five brothers; Jimmy Shannon, Bobby Shannon, Paul Shannon, Kenneth Shannon, and Damian Shannon, and a large extended family, all reside in Sligo, Ireland. Although she lived far away, Ruby was the glue of the Shannon Family and always a part of their lives. She was a strong Sligo woman and very proud of her Irish heritage and family, Ruby was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
A memorial service for Ruby will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 1, 2025 at The Well by the Sea, 211 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Ruby will be laid to rest in Sligo, Ireland.
