Roberta C. Raffone

Roberta C. Raffone, of East Haven passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 in Connecticut Hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Raffone, Sr. Born in New Haven on July 30, 1947, daughter of the late William and Ann Schettino D'Urso. Roberta graduated from St. Mary's High School, in New haven in 1966 later earning her LPN license in 1968. She served for many years as a caring nurse at the Hospital of St. Raphael and later at Connecticut Hospice. Continuing her vocation of taking care of others she became a school bus driver for East Haven public schools until her retirement in 2018. Devoted mother of Annemarie Raffone-Dudley (Ryan), Ronald Raffone, Jr.(Laura Holtz-Raffone) and Diana Westefeld (Jim). Sister of Ann Provo, William D'Urso (Billie J), Francis D'Urso. Loving Meme of Noah (Meg) and Autumn Raffone, Alexander Raffone (Taylor), Grace and John Westefeld, and Camille, Hannah, and Alannah Dudley. Great grandmother of Jaxon Raffone.
Visiting hours will be held Monday January 27, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Rd in East Haven on Tuesday morning at 10:00. Please meet directly at Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
