Roberta Marie Reed, age 89, resident of Wagoner, OK, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born on November 9, 1935, in Borger, TX to Ruffie William and Ramona Gertrude (Patrick) Gill.
Roberta was a dedicated and hardworking individual, whose career spanned various roles primarily in retail. She began her professional journey at Allen Canning in Siloam Springs, AR, and later worked as a bank teller. Her most notable roles included serving as the store manager at Ben Franklin and concluding her career as a department manager at Wal-Mart, from which she retired.
She was a graduate of Colcord High School in Colcord, OK. Roberta enjoyed various hobbies, including embroidery, singing, collecting a unique variety coffee cups, and fishing. A lover of nature, she cherished flowers and found great comfort in the company of her beloved cats, referring to them as her babies.
Roberta married Herman Roland Reed on September 14, 1962, in Pryor, OK.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Dwayne Reed of Wagoner, OK, and Herman Reed and wife Dana of Bristow, OK; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Reed of Porter, OK; six grandchildren, Charles, Les, Amanda, Jennifer, Jeremy, and Preston; several great-grandchildren; her nephew, Tony Lyons; her niece, Amber Gill; several great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Rhino, Andrew, Bridget and Susan.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husbands, John Smith and Herman Roland Reed; her parents, Ruffie William and Ramona Gertrude Gill; her son, Terry Reed; and her siblings, Ruby Lyons and Ronald Gill.
A graveside service honoring Roberta will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
