Cris passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and on her own terms, just as she lived. Fierce, funny, and deeply compassionate, she carried both strength and grace through every season of her life. She loved flowers, fresh tomatoes from the garden, and crafting beautiful meals, even when her body resisted. She adored her family, her home, and the simple pleasures-an afternoon breeze, a well-timed joke, or a cozy chair with a view. Cris faced illness with grit, humor, and a stubborn will that amazed all who knew her. She remained sharp, spirited, and beautifully complex to the very end. No formal service is planned, in keeping with Cris's wishes. In her memory, please take a moment to hug your doctor, your nurse, your favorite physical therapist-or simply someone you love. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Jim, who held her hand through every step of the journey. Their bond was one of fire, laughter, and fierce loyalty-a love story that remains unshaken, even by death. Cris is survived by her brother Ralph Gonnoud and wife Pam F. Gonnoud, her sister-in-law Pam M. Gonnoud, and nieces LuLu and Lily. Cris is also survived by her BFF, Kathy Mitchell, and The Loving Ruehle Family A very special thank you to Rebekah Hospice RN, Katie PT, and Jeannie PT. Each brought tremendous care and love, increasing Cris' quality of life. For 45 years, Cris & Jim were each others safe harbor
