Roberta Anne Sampson-DeMaso, 62, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on March 30, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1962, in Cortland, NY. Roberta, a loving and adventurous soul, will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Roberta was a dedicated Technical Writer at Excellus. She believed in the importance of education and pursued her bachelor's degree from Syracuse University, a goal she achieved and cherished.
In her free time, Roberta enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her friends. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandkids in Cape Cod and on holidays. She shared a special bond with her husband, Joe, and previously enjoyed the company of her dogs Amy, Sarah, and JoJo.
Roberta is survived by her stepdaughter, Kristen (Kinley Koop) DeMaso Lockhart; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lockhart, and Ian Lockhart; brother, Thomas Sampson; brother-in-law, Fred DeMaso; and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Devlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeMaso; mother, Ruth Ivory; and stepfather, Sidney Ivory.
Services in memory of Roberta will begin with calling hours on Saturday, April 6, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11 am at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville, NY. A Graveside committal service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Glenwood Cemetery in Homer, NY beginning at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY, 13208. She also asked that in her memory, people perform acts of kindness, as she often did. Roberta's legacy of love and dedication will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
