Roberta K. Schipman, 86, of rural St. Libory, Neb., passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Tiffany Square in Grand Island, Neb.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island is entrusted with the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Worms. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Worms with Reverend Craig Niemeier officiating. Interment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery following the service.

Roberta was born on January 15, 1939, in Grand Island to Edmund and Emily (Tagge) Ewoldt.
Roberta grew up and attended school in Grand Island, graduating from GISH in 1957. She attended Grand Island Business College. She worked for ten years as Office Coordinator for the Overland Trails Council, B.S.A.
She was united in marriage to Donald A. Schipman at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island on December 19, 1962. The couple lived on a farm near Worms, where they farmed and raised cattle.
They received the Ak-Sar-Ben 100-year Farm Family Award in 1980. The couple traveled extensively in the United States, parts of Canada, and Mexico; they cruised to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and through the Panama Canal. Besides spending time with their children and grandchildren, the couple enjoyed Square Dancing.
Roberta was proud to be a great-granddaughter of the original Hall County settlers, Cay Ewoldt and Hans Wrage. She was also proud to have traveled to all 50 states. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Platt-Duetsche Society.
Roberta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trish and Greg Schwartz of rural St. Libory; son and daughter-in-law, Danel and Lori Schipman of Lake Mary, FL; a step-son and step daughter-in-law, Louis and Jane Schipman of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Sara and Robert Schwartz; step grandchildren, Ashley Schipman, Melissa Trussell, and Lucas Schipman; step great-grandsons, Blayze Trussell and Brayden Frost; a brother and sister-in-law, Bryce and Carolyn Ewoldt of Grand Island.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on December 20, 2005; a sister, Louise R. Hunnicutt; and a step-grandson, Randal Schipman. Condolences to the family and sharing of memories may be signed at
