Bert, a Special Woman
Roberta, “Bert,” Shupe passed Thursday, December 4th after living a wonderful long life of 88 years. Bert is predeceased by Lewis, Amy and Virgina Vincent (her parents and sister). She is survived by Dick, her husband, her three sons: Gregg & Debbie (Steele), Scott, Jeff and Mary (Bevis) and her four grandchildren: Ben & Alex (Moskaluk), Kristen, Gabe and Emily.
Bert loved her childhood in Montclair, NJ. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where she met Dick, the handsome man from Colorado. They had been married for 67 years. After a brief time in Seattle, Washington, they moved East where they raised their three boys Gregg, Scott and Jeff. Her special places were Andover, Brewster, Chatham, Massachusetts and Chandler, Arizona!
She studied interior design at the University of Colorado, which reflected her creative spirit in life as she was always making special things. In addition to her creative nature, she had a green thumb. Anything she planted thrived. She was a part-time real estate agent and office manager.
When Bert wasn’t enjoying her family, gardening, or traveling, she volunteered at Brewster Green where she served as President of the Brewster Green Interval Owners Association.
We will have a family and friends service for Bert. If you would like to send cards to Dick and the family, please mail them to JT Shupe, 112 Birkdale Road, Bedford, NH, 03110.
