Roberta A. Stagg

Roberta A. Stagg, a life-long resident of Boston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 4, 2025. She was 59 years old.
Beloved daughter of the late Robert A. and Sarah T. (Kane) Stagg. Roberta is survived by her life partner George Bregianos of Boston. Devoted sister of Darlene Guerriero and her late husband Michael of Quincy, Maureen Cook and her husband Donald of Weymouth, Raymond Stagg and his wife Sandar of Quincy, and Richard Stagg and his wife Joan of Naples, Florida. Loving aunt to Jennifer Healey, Donald Cook, Krysta Paul, Matthew Guerriero, Shawn Cook, Brittney Guerriero, Adam Cook, Patrick Cook, Juliana Stagg, and Nathan Stagg. Doting great aunt to Colin, Ella, Corbin, Abigail, Alivia, Shawn, Sienna, Grace, and Madeline. Roberta is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
Before retiring in 2021, Roberta worked at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital for over 30 years in many roles, including Director of Admin and Registration. Her compassion, intellect, and empathy not only made her thrive in her career, but also in her most vital position as her friends and family's go-to person for advice and wisdom. For Roberta, family was everything. She easily stepped into the role as an additional parent figure to all her nieces and nephews, providing love, support, or advice whenever needed. Roberta had a way of connecting with every child in her life. To all her nieces and nephews she was so full of magic-sharing stories of little elves, always causing chaos with water balloon fights, surprising them with toys or candy, scaring them with stories about ghosts, and always going above and beyond for every holiday. Her ability to easily connect didn't stop with people, but spread to all animals. Roberta was an avid animal lover, caring for many animals during her life, including birds, dogs, and most recently her two kittens, Shadow and Halo. She had such a calming presence that it seemed like many animals would gravitate to her and her family would jokingly call her Snow White because of this ability. She spent many years caring for the wild cats in her neighborhood. Roberta's gentleness, understanding, sense of humor, and love radiated through all her interactions. Her goal was to put a smile on everyone's face, especially those who she loved so deeply.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday April 9 from 4-7 PM at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale on Thursday April 10 at 10 AM. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
