Roberta Jean Stevens, 94, of Drakesboro, KY, formerly of Little York, IL, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Monmouth, IL.

Roberta was born January 3, 1931, in Little York the daughter of John O. and Frances J. (Dacy) Stevens. She was raised and educated in Little York, graduating from Little York High School in 1949.

She married Linus Gale “Cappy” Sharer on January 10, 1955, at the Little York Presbyterian Church, in Little York.

Roberta was a Registered Nurse working in Iowa, Illinois, and finally in Florida before retiring in 1997.

She was of Presbyterian Faith. Growing up on the farm Roberta was an avid animal lover and continued to care for animals throughout her life.

Survivors include her children, Lisa (Guy) Morris of Monmouth, Deidre (Carl) Wilhite of Valrico, FL, Dion Sharer of Drakesboro, KY, and Erin Hostetter of Port Richey, FL; 9 grandchildren, Eric Miller, Alanna Simpson, Bryan Morris, Craig Morris, Rachel Combs, Shane Sharer, Marisa Hostetter, Derek Sharer and Troy Sharer; 11 great-grandchildren, Wesley Miller, Alexia Melleny, Alexander Melleny, Kayden Morris, Bryce Morris, Baylee Morris, Koraline Morris, Taylor Combs, Ashton, Usher, Aiyanna Usher and Ariah Scott; 4 great-great grandchildren, Skye Alvardo, Knox Miller, Whitney Sharer and Levi Sharer; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Sharer of Pekin, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Sharer; great-grandson, Tristin Miller and her brother, John Raymond Stevens.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to OSF Hospice, Galesburg and sent to the funeral home.
