Roberta "Badaracco" Trani, 97, of Bayville died peacefully on January 4, 2025. Born and raised in Union City, she resided in Palisades Park for many years before moving to Bayville in 1996. Mrs. Trani was a graduate of Jersey City State College with a Bachelor's degree in education and taught Kindergarten at North Bergen Elementary School with over 30 years of dedicated service. Roberta enjoyed needle point and attending craft shows. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Arthur, and by her daughter Lindamary Postighone.
Surviving are her daughter Gale Smith and her husband Leo; her son-in-law Neil Postghone; three grandchildren, Clifford Postighone, Matthew Ruggiero and his wife Kelly and Eileen Carroll and her husband Robert; and four great grandchildren, Naomi, Carter, Kacey and Juliette
Visiting hours for relatives and friends will be offered on Tuesday, 1-7-2025, from 4pm to 7pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Wednesday, 9am at the funeral home, then leave by 10am for the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, 07031.
