Robin Wilson Barnard was born October 11, 1955 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Alice G. Murphy and Willie Norwood. She went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.
Robin grew up in Riverside and was educated in the Wilmington Public School System. She worked for Rollins for 14 years in the Maintenance Department and was the 1st Black Female, working alongside with all men. She also held employment with the Christiana Care Health System for 20 years.
After retirement, Robin feasted on the finer things in life, including but not limited to traveling, casinos, cruising, going to the beach and spending time playing cards with her 2 sisters; Gail and Vanessa (Nessy).
She had a great love for yard sales and goodwill shopping. She enjoyed savoring the fresh taste of steamed crabs, shrimps and a good Ginger Ale soda in her hand.
Her faith in GOD was very strong, as well as her commitment to her son and daughter and her grandchildren, as well as her great grands and her siblings.
She was predeceased by her parents; Alice G. Murphy, Willie Norwood, 2 sisters; Frances Lolly and Alice Boyd(aka Mikey) brothers: Julius (Butch)Wilson, Albert (Alby) Wilson and Dennis Cole, best friend and brother Robert Moody.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son; Willie J. Wilson, her daughter; Alisha Barnard Lambert, 1 God son; Terry Wilson, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 devoted niece; Willie Jean Williams, 1 devoted nephew; Julius Caldwell, 3 devoted cousins; Verna Watson, Samuel Clemmons, and Tiffany Middleton, 2 devoted sisters; Gail Wilson and Vanessa (Nessy)Williams, sisters; Patsy Wilson, Joyce Williams(Larry) Willie Mae Norwood, brothers; Willie Norwood (Doris), Alphonso Cole (Donna),friends; Loretta, Yvonne, Marie and Marcella, Bernadette, Isis, Kevin and Carlessa and Gale,and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
