Robin Bumgardner

Chillicothe Robin A. Bumgardner, 55, of Chillicothe passed from this life Friday January 27, 2023 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 27, 1967 in Huntington, West Virginia to Billy Dee and Betty Jane (Knight) Fuller. On August 8, 1986 she married the love of her life Gene Bumgardner.

Surviving is her mother, Betty Fuller, Piketon, children, Kristin (Nick) Rusk, Andy (Ashley) Bumgardner, both of Chillicothe, and Austin Bumgardner, Piketon, granddaughter, Maeve, brother, Alan (Barbara) Fuller, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Ricky Lee Fuller.

Robin was a teacher for the Unioto School System for 23 years, sharing her knowledge and passion for learning with thousands of students. She and Gene loved to travel. Robin loved spending time with her family, she never knew a stranger, and absolutely adored children. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday January 31, 2023 in the Unioto High School Gymnasium, 14193 Pleasant Valley Rd, Chillicothe, Oh, with Pastor Bud Brabson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the High School from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday. A Private Graveside will be held in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Rd. Waverly, at the discretion of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Farmer Foundation, c/o Atomic Credit Union.
