John Jeffrey Bumgardner

John Jeffrey Bumgardner, aged 66, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Morgantown, West Virginia. Born on August 14, 1959, he lived a life defined by dedication to his family and career.

John honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he worked diligently for Local IATSE 64, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ruth Bumgardner; his brother, Joe Bumgardner; his sister, Rita Bowman; his brothers-in-law, Steve Hamilton and Mike Coyne.

John is survived by his cherished siblings: Linda (Nick) Fusco, David (Jana) Bumgardner, Anne Hamilton, Jane Coyne, and Judee (Pete) Shunk; his brother-in-law, Bob Bowman, and his sister-in-law, Renee Bumgardner. He also leaves behind a loving legacy with his 51 nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly.

A memorial visitation will be held at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home - Bellaire Chapel, located at 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio, on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. A Knights of Columbus service will begin at 4:15 p.m. with funeral services commencing at 4:30 p.m. with Father Daniel Heusel presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association, in memory of John. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
